According to CCTV, during the phone call Wang Yi said that China opposes the use or threat of force in international relations, imposing one’s will on others, and the world’s return to the “law of the jungle.”

During the call, Araghchi briefed Wang on the latest developments in Iran, stating that the recent unrest had been instigated by external forces and that the situation has now stabilized.

Saying that Iran is prepared to counter external interference while keeping the door open to dialogue, Araghchi expressed hope that China would play a greater role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Wang said the Chinese side believes that the Iranian government and people will remain united, overcome difficulties, maintain national stability, and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.
