UK Foreign Secretary Cooper made statements regarding the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, saying, “The world has failed the people of Sudan on a catastrophic scale.”
Cooper stated that this month they used the presidency of the UN Security Council to highlight the suffering in Sudan and called for uninterrupted humanitarian assistance, an end to the flow of weapons, and the declaration of a humanitarian ceasefire. It was emphasized that these steps aim to end the cycle of bloodshed.
