European Council President Antonio Costa stated that they stand in solidarity with the UAE after Iran’s attacks, saying: “I am in full solidarity with Mohammed Bin Zayed. Following Iran’s unjust missile and drone attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, I am also in solidarity with the people of the United Arab Emirates.”

Costa described the attacks as “unacceptable violations of sovereignty and international law” and said: “Iran must participate in negotiations to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire in the Middle East.” He added that the European Union will continue its efforts to reduce tensions and find a diplomatic solution for regional security.
