European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that she had arrived in New York for the United Nations General Assembly.

Von der Leyen said that despite new geopolitical realities and changing circumstances, the priorities for Europe and its partners remain the same.

Von der Leyen said that peace in Ukraine, stability in the Middle East, strengthening industry and climate policies supporting the transition to clean energy are among the priorities, adding that the world is changing rapidly.

Von der Leyen noted that the importance of cooperation and multilateralism has been demonstrated time and again, especially during difficult periods, and said that an intensive week of work awaits them as part of the UN General Assembly.
