Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto held a meeting with his Saudi counterpart Khalid bin Salman Al Saud on military cooperation between the two countries, developments in the defense industry, and regional security dynamics.

Providing details about the meeting, Crosetto said: “We reviewed the Italian-Saudi partnership and ways to continue cooperation and development in the military and defense sectors between our two countries.”

Noting that regional risks and the security of energy routes were also on the agenda, Crosetto added: “We discussed developments in the regional and international situation, potential developments in the region, and coordination of joint efforts to promote security and stability in the Strait of Hormuz, the Red Sea, and the entire region.”

Minister Crosetto also shared a message from his Saudi counterpart, stating: “He thanked Italy for the support and assistance provided during the conflict.”
