Czech President Petr Pavel congratulated the Czech tennis players who reached the Wimbledon Tennis Championships final.

In his statement, Pavel said that this year's Wimbledon had become an unforgettable tournament for Czech tennis, adding: "It is a very rare feeling to be able to support both players with the same sincerity from the first point to the last point of a final match."

Emphasizing that the Czech players represented their country with distinction, Pavel said: "Karolina and Linda, thank you for representing the Czech Republic so brilliantly. I bow to both of you with great respect. After your celebrations, I will be delighted to welcome you to Prague Castle."
