Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishak Dar had a phone conversation with Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

In the statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the conversation, it was noted that the two ministers exchanged views on recent regional developments, particularly the situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The statement said, “The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister emphasized that Pakistan has responded appropriately to Afghanistan’s unjustified aggression, and that Pakistan’s Armed Forces have carried out successful air operations under the _Ghazb lil Haq Operation_ to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Both ministers also emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the region and agreed to closely follow the unfolding developments.
