Dar meets Chinese Foreign Minister Yi
Beijing, April 1 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Dar visited Beijing between March 31 and April 1, 2026, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Yi. During the meeting, regional developments in West Asia and Pakistan-China bilateral relations were discussed.
Minister Dar outlined Pakistan’s efforts to end conflicts and restart dialogue. In this context, meetings held in Islamabad by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt were also discussed. Both sides assessed the regional security environment and agreed on a five-point initiative aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the Gulf and the Middle East.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yi expressed support and appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in West Asia. The meeting also addressed high-quality development and strategic cooperation under CPEC 2.0, as well as issues related to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Both ministers agreed to maintain bilateral communication and enhance cooperation through mutual visits.
