Drug operation in Sofia
Sofia, July 23 (Hibya) - According to a statement by the Press Center and Strategic Communications Directorate of Bulgaria's Ministry of Interior, a 40-year-old suspect was detained and a large quantity of narcotics was seized during a special police operation in Sofia.
The statement said the suspect, who was arrested as part of an investigation conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Unit, had previous convictions for drug possession and distribution. During the operation, police seized 270 ecstasy tablets, approximately 290 grams of amphetamine, 660 grams of raw material for synthetic drugs, 40 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of cocaine, and 10 grams of cannabis.
The suspect was placed in pre-trial detention by order of the prosecutor's office, while the investigation continues under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office.
