Emphasis on cooperation and stability between Syria and the UN
Damascus, May 17 (Hibya) - The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced that Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani held a meeting with Claudio Cordone, Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General for Syria.
In a statement issued by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, it was noted that during the meeting with Claudio Cordone, Deputy Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria, joint work between Syria and the UN, support for the country’s recovery process, and various areas of cooperation were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in support of stability in Syria and within the framework of respect for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
