First Ukraine-Germany joint drone production facility begins operations
Munich, February 13 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the first joint Ukraine-Germany drone production facility established in Germany and announced that 10,000 new drones will be delivered to the Ukrainian army this year.
President Zelensky inspected the first joint Ukraine-Germany drone production facility that has begun operating in Germany. He received the first jointly produced attack drone, toured the production line, and observed the drone’s first test flight.
Zelensky stated, “This modern Ukrainian technology has been tested in war and is equipped with artificial intelligence. The drones will carry out strike missions, conduct reconnaissance, and protect our soldiers. The 10,000 drones produced here this year will strengthen the Ukrainian army.”
The facility marks a significant step in Ukraine’s long-standing efforts to establish joint production lines in Europe and is recorded as the first production line in Germany. Zelensky noted that they aim to open a total of 10 joint drone production facilities by the end of the year.
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the German government, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, and the German people, emphasizing that Ukraine is always ready to share the experience it has gained.
