French President Emmanuel Macron had a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Macron emphasized that France reiterated its support for the security of Israel and its people, stating, "The release of all hostages has always been our highest priority, just like the disarmament of the Palestinian Islamic Movement. I expressed my position very clearly: A ceasefire is the only way to ensure the release of hostages still held by Hamas. The opening of all humanitarian aid crossing points is a vital necessity for the civilian population of Gaza. I saw this in El-Arish, where this aid is blocked on the other side of the border. It needs to reach civilians as quickly as possible. The suffering of the civilian population in Gaza must end."
