In a statement on social media, Wadephul described the attack as an act of terrorism against Saudi Arabia and civil aviation.
Wadephul extended his condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and said his thoughts were with the victims. The German minister also said he had conveyed his condolences to Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.
