Two Yandex data centers damaged in drone attacks
Moscow, October 11 (Hibya) - Russian technology company Yandex said its data centers in Sasovo and Kaluga were damaged in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks.

According to a statement issued by the company on October 9, the data center in Sasovo suffered serious damage overnight from October 7 to 8, and operations at the facility were completely halted. On the morning of October 9, another data center in Kaluga was attacked. Part of the infrastructure at that facility was taken out of service.
Yandex said no employees were injured in either incident. The company said emergency teams and its specialists were continuing to work at the sites and that the extent of the infrastructure damage was being assessed.
Work continues to restore services
The company said the data centers are critical to Yandex’s digital services and that the disruptions could affect users’ daily activities and business operations.
Yandex said its teams were working around the clock to keep services running and provide support to users and business partners affected by the disruptions.
The company said it was not yet clear when the equipment at the data centers would return to operation, adding that the public would be informed as new information becomes available about the condition of the infrastructure.
