UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres spoke about the global role of the United Nations and the need for international solidarity.

Highlighting the organization’s global mission, Guterres said, “The United Nations continues to be an indispensable and unique meeting point for advancing peace, sustainable development, and human rights. But its strength is limited by the commitment of countries to it.”

Calling for unity and solidarity, Guterres stated, “We must come together across nations, cultures, and generations around a simple truth: Humanity is strongest when we come together.”
