Guterres: Sustainable peace and development cannot be separated
New York, October 2 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres highlighted the link between peace and development.
In his statement, Guterres emphasized that poverty worldwide leads to despair, despair fuels unrest, and unrest undermines the fabric of societies by increasing insecurity, fear, and violence.
“This is a moment of choice,” said Guterres. “We must choose to invest in peace.”
