IDF: 10 armed terrorists neutralized
Tel Aviv, March 29 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it neutralized a terrorist cell operating in central Gaza Strip, as well as a terrorist who had been released under the “Wings of Freedom Operation” and allegedly violated the terms of the agreement.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released a statement regarding its operational activities in the Gaza Strip.
The statement included details of air and ground operations aimed at eliminating threats in the region.
Providing information about the operation in central Gaza, the IDF stated: "A cell of approximately ten armed terrorists affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization operating in central Gaza Strip was identified. Immediately after the identification, the IDF struck the armed terrorists to eliminate the threat and neutralized them."
The statement also included details regarding a previously released individual who was targeted:
"Forces of the 188th Brigade combat team neutralized the terrorist Ahmed Faiz Salem Abu Rida, who systematically violated the terms of the agreement, crossed the Yellow Line multiple times, transferred money to suspects for terrorist activities, and posed a threat to IDF forces. The terrorist had been arrested during the war due to involvement in terrorist activities and was released as part of the Wings of Freedom Operation."
The IDF emphasized that Southern Command units continue to be deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operations to eliminate immediate threats.
