According to a statement from the ministry, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef Ahmed Al-Sharif arrived in Tehran for consultations with senior Iranian officials and met with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.

During the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized Iran's commitment to continuing its principled policy of developing relations with all Islamic countries, including Sudan as one of the leading Arab and Islamic nations.

Araghchi expressed regret over the internal conflicts in Sudan, which have caused significant moral and material damage to the people and infrastructure of the African country.
