Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi Spoke with His Polish Counterpart Sikorski
Tehran, January 30 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
According to a statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Araghchi and Sikorski discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.
Araghchi congratulated Poland on assuming the presidency of the European Union Council and expressed hope for a constructive engagement between Iran and the EU during this period.
The Polish Foreign Minister noted that the 550-year history of diplomatic relations and nearly a century-old Friendship Treaty form the basis of friendly ties between the two countries.
Sikorski also expressed optimism about resolving outstanding issues between Iran and the EU, including the nuclear issue.
