Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei Rejects EU Officials' Allegations
Tehran, January 30 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has rejected the latest allegations made by the European Union’s (EU) new foreign policy chief and spokesperson regarding Iran.
According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Baghaei suggested that EU officials understand the true meaning of concepts such as "threat" and "international peace and security" and avoid distorting these terms.
Baghaei emphasized that the primary and ongoing threat to global peace and security is the apartheid and occupying regime that possesses stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction. This regime has committed a brutal genocide over the past 15 months alone, killing more than 60,000 innocent people, committing the most heinous international crimes, and continuing its aggression and occupation.
The spokesperson stated that if the European Union seeks to play an effective and constructive role on the international stage, it must adopt a realistic approach based on justice, respect for the rights of other nations, and adherence to the UN Charter and the principles of international law.
