Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei met with Haniyeh and Al-Nakhalah
Tehran, July 31 (Hibya)—Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei met with Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, and Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement.
During the meeting, Khamenei praised the extraordinary determination and resistance of the oppressed people in Gaza.
During the meeting, Ismail Haniyeh congratulated the election of the new Iranian president and described the recent elections as proof of a democracy based on Islamic thought. Evaluating his meeting with Pezeşkiyan, he said, "In this meeting, we once again witnessed the good and determined positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Palestinian issue and the Resistance Movement, and this is something that makes us proud."
Describing the recent military and political situation in Gaza and the West Bank, Haniyeh said, "Yesterday was the 300th day of the Gaza War, and we have now reached a critical and historic stage where the Palestinian people and the Resistance Forces must continue their heroism and victories."
The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, congratulated Pezeşkiyan on his election as Iran's new President and appreciated his determined support for Palestine and the Resistance.
