Jerusalem, June 10 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar held a telephone conversation with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape.

During the call, Saar thanked Papua New Guinea for its support for Israel and its friendly stance toward the country.
The statement noted that Israel welcomed Papua New Guinea’s decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem in 2023 and announced its own decision to open a representative office in Papua New Guinea.
The parties were reported to have agreed on strengthening bilateral relations.
