Israeli Hostage Released
Jerusalem, January 30 (Hibya) – The Red Cross announced that Israeli soldier Agam Berger, who was among the hostages, has been handed over to them.
In a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was reported that the Red Cross confirmed the handover of Israeli soldier Agam Berger.
The statement emphasized that the return process is now under the control of IDF forces and Shin Bet in the Gaza Strip.
«The released individual is now en route to Israel, accompanied by an elite IDF unit and Shin Bet security forces, where he will undergo an initial medical examination. IDF commanders and soldiers welcome and embrace the returning individual.»
In a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, the government welcomed the return of IDF soldier Agam Berger: «His family has been informed by the responsible authorities that he is safe with our forces. The government, together with all security forces, will accompany him and his family.»
