Italian Foreign Minister Tajani spoke with his Turkish counterpart Fidan
Rome, October 1 (Hibya) — Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani held a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that he had a phone call with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan regarding the latest developments in the Middle East crisis. He noted that they discussed the peace plan presented by U.S. President Donald Trump for Gaza, and said:
"We support the mediation efforts carried out by Türkiye and other regional partners to persuade Hamas to accept the peace plan. The time has come to support an end to hostilities, the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians, and a lasting political solution that includes the establishment of a Palestinian state."
