Jetten meets earthquake victims in Groningen
Amsterdam, August 17 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten visited settlements affected by earthquakes in the Groningen region and listened to the demands of local residents.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten visited Zeerijp and Appingedam together with Henk Nijboer.
During the visit, the effects of the earthquakes that have occurred in the region in recent years were observed on site.
Commenting on his meetings with Groningen residents, Jetten said, “Rapid progress in strengthening homes and simplifying procedures is what the people of Groningen I met today are asking for.”
Stating that it was important for him to listen to what local residents had experienced, Jetten said, “Listening to the residents’ stories was extremely valuable. We must continue working together on a good approach to dealing with the consequences of the earthquakes.”
