Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the Israeli Defense Forces, by capturing the Netzarim axis on Gaza’s western coast, divided Gaza into north and south.

Katz noted that this would further tighten the siege around Gaza City and emphasized that anyone leaving from the south would have to pass through IDF checkpoints.

“This is the last chance for Gazans who wish to move south and leave Hamas terrorists isolated in Gaza City in the face of the full force of the Israeli Defense Forces’ operations,” Katz said, adding that those remaining in Gaza would be considered terrorists and terror supporters.
