Lahbib: The humanitarian situation in Lebanon remains alarming
Brussels, May 30 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that the humanitarian situation in Lebanon “remains alarming.”
European Commissioner for Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that a new aid shipment has been delivered to the region as part of European Union solidarity efforts.
In her statement, Lahbib said, “The humanitarian situation in Lebanon remains alarming,” emphasizing that EU solidarity continues to support the most vulnerable groups. It was reported that Germany sent 220,000 surgical masks, while Poland provided medical supplies and personal protective equipment.
It was noted that the aid was delivered to Beirut through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
