European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that they want to be prepared for potential future health emergencies together with their closest partners.

Following her meeting with Canadian Minister Melanie Joly, EU Commissioner Lahbib emphasized that cooperation between the EU and Canada in the field of medical countermeasures is being strengthened, delivering the message: "Together, we are better prepared."

It was stated that these engagements led by Lahbib have elevated the partnership in crisis management and health measures to a higher level.
