Lammy: South Sudan leaders must work to de-escalate tensions
London, March 27 (Hibya) – UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said that South Sudan’s leaders must make efforts to reduce tensions.
Lammy stressed that a move toward violence and conflict is in no one's interest and called on South Sudanese leaders to take steps to de-escalate the situation.
He delivered a clear message to British nationals in South Sudan: “If you decide it is safe to do so, leave immediately.”
