Leyen: Every megawatt is important for lighting in Ukraine
Brussels, October 29 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the Association of European Electricity Transmission System Operators has increased the export capacity of electricity to Ukraine and Moldova by 400 megawatts.
President Leyen stated that every megawatt is important for lighting in Ukraine.
She noted that the Association of European Electricity Transmission System Operators has increased the export capacity of electricity to Ukraine and Moldova by 400 megawatts: “This is very good news. This brings us closer to our goal: to meet a quarter of Ukraine's winter needs.”
In a statement regarding the issue from the European Commission, it was also stated: “The new export limit, which will be raised to 2100 megawatts as of December 1, will ensure Ukraine's readiness for winter. Russia's plan to plunge Ukraine into darkness through bombing will not succeed.”
