European Commission President Leyen emphasized that the European automotive sector is facing a critical period, stating: "We will support it through the deep transition process. Today, we have launched a dialogue that will help guide us through the upcoming changes. We are quickly discussing the key areas that need our attention."

Leyen noted that this dialogue will contribute to the Industrial Action Plan to be presented on March 5, adding:

"This way, our industry will be able to grow in Europe and compete successfully on the global stage. The story of cars was written in Europe, and their future must continue to be shaped here."
