Leyen: We are saddened by the US tariffs on Europe
Brussels, March 12 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that they are deeply saddened by the tariffs imposed by the United States (US) on Europe.
European Commission President Leyen expressed deep regret over the US tariffs on Europe, emphasizing that tariffs are taxes.
Highlighting that these tariffs are bad for businesses and even worse for consumers, Leyen said, "Today, Europe is taking strong but proportionate countermeasures. We are ready for dialogue."
