French President Emmanuel Macron made statements regarding the stabilization process in Lebanon and the establishment of state authority.

Supporting the steps taken by Lebanese officials, Macron said, “I welcome the encouraging statements by Lebanese authorities aimed at regaining the state monopoly over arms. This process must continue with determination.”

Macron added, “The second phase of the plan will be a decisive step. The ceasefire agreement must be strictly observed by all parties. The Lebanese people can trust us.”

Emphasizing that France will take concrete steps, Macron concluded: “France, together with its partners, will fully maintain its commitment to Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces. An international conference will soon be held in Paris to present concrete ways to guarantee this sovereignty.”
