Macron sends condolences to Norway
Paris, August 28 (Hibya) - French President Emmanuel Macron extended his condolences to King Haakon of Norway and the Norwegian people following the death of King Harald.
French President Emmanuel Macron said in a statement that he had learned of the death of Norway’s King Harald with deep sadness. Macron said Harald had worked consistently throughout his reign to strengthen ties between Norway and France.
Macron recalled the warm welcome that King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway gave him and his wife Brigitte Macron in Oslo in June 2025.
French President Macron also extended his condolences to King Haakon of Norway and the Norwegian people on behalf of the French people.
