According to a statement from Tanzania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Director of the Europe and Americas Department Ellen Maduhu visited the Biotan Cashew Processing Factory, operated by Austrian investor Paul S. Schreilechner, on November 6, 2026.

During her inspection of the factory located in Kisemvule in the Mkuranga district, Maduhu emphasized the government's commitment to creating a favorable investment environment for domestic and foreign investors. She stated that increasing the added value of agricultural products through processing, expanding export markets and supporting employment were among the priority objectives.

Established in 2018, Biotan processes organic cashew nuts in accordance with international standards and exports them to European countries, particularly Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Factory Director Schreilechner stated that the high quality of Tanzanian cashews increases demand for them and enhances their competitiveness in international markets.
