Meeting between the EU and Spain on disasters
Brussels, October 1 (Hibya) — The EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, met with Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez.
The EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Lahbib, held a meeting with Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez regarding the new Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) proposal.
Lahbib stated that during the meeting they discussed how to strengthen prevention, preparedness, and response to cross-sector crises, while continuing to focus on forest fires, threats, and risks experienced during the summer.
