Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said they continue to closely monitor developments in the Middle East crisis.

Meloni stated that the Italian government is in contact with allies and partners in the region and is working tirelessly to monitor the situation and protect the safety of Italian citizens, adding:

"Our priority is to protect our citizens and, together with our key partners and allies, to support any initiative that could lead the parties back to diplomacy and dialogue. At the same time, we are closely monitoring every front, from security to the economic impacts of the crisis, and evaluating all possible mitigation measures in these areas."
