German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made a statement on supporting municipalities and easing financial burdens.
Merz said, “Our goal is to strengthen the states and municipalities and to reduce burdens.”
Regarding financial support, Merz stated, “We are relieving the stronger ones and helping financially weaker states with their old debts.”
Merz added, “In total, we provide support of approximately one billion euros per year to all states.”
Referring to the impact of these policies, Merz said, “In this way, we are strengthening our country.”
