Merz said in a post on his social media account that the Federal Constitutional Court is one of the fundamental pillars of democracy.
Merz stated that for 75 years the court has placed the rule of law above the rule of force, noting that through its decisions it has protected the constitutional state and freedom.
At the end of his message, Merz congratulated the Federal Constitutional Court on its 75th anniversary.
