Message from the European Parliament on German Unity Day
Brussels, 3 October (Hibya) – The European Parliament issued a statement on the occasion of German Unity Day.
In the message released by the European Parliament on German Unity Day, it was recalled that 35 years ago today, East and West Germany were reunified after 41 years of division.
The message noted that at that time the European Parliament supported Germany's struggle for reunification and called on East German authorities to allow families in the West to be reunited.
