Metsola: The Mediterranean is a strategic crossroads in a changing geopolitical environment
Brussels, February 13 (Hibya) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola emphasized that the Mediterranean is a strategic crossroads for Europe and stressed that the Euro-Med partnership should be strengthened on the basis of stability, prosperity and innovation.
European Parliament President Metsola highlighted the strategic importance of the Mediterranean in a changing geopolitical environment. As someone of Mediterranean origin, she stated that she has closely witnessed the great potential of the region and underlined that cooperation between Europe and Mediterranean countries should be further enhanced.
Metsola noted that she was pleased to meet with Rym Ali. During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in the Mediterranean region with the “Anna Lindh Foundation,” chaired by Ali, were discussed.
Metsola reiterated their commitment to building the Euro-Mediterranean (Euro-Med) partnership on the foundations of stability, prosperity and innovation.
