Skopje, March 16 (Hibya) - North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski announced that during his phone call with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha, they discussed relations between the two countries and transport projects.
North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski held a phone call with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha and evaluated bilateral and regional issues.
Emphasizing their determination to strengthen cooperation, Mucunski said: “We confirmed our readiness to further strengthen our excellent bilateral relations and cooperation. We discussed the European perspective of our countries and our shared priorities, especially Corridor VIII, which is a key regional connectivity project.”
Minister Mucunski also highlighted the value of the Macedonian minority living in Albania for the ties between the two countries, stating: “We emphasized the importance of the Macedonian minority in Albania as a bridge of friendship between our societies.”
Stating that regional and environmental responsibilities were also addressed in the final part of the conversation, Mucunski said: “Views were exchanged on regional cooperation and our shared responsibility for the protection and sustainable management of the Lake Ohrid region.”
