Mucunski met with EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Brunner
Skopje, February 27 (Hibya) - North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski met with EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner to discuss the country's EU accession process, combating irregular migration, and challenges in the transport sector.
During the meeting with EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner, North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski emphasized the country's determination to fully align with European standards in the areas of home affairs and migration management.
During the meeting, topics such as strengthening cooperation on migration management, joint work with Frontex, combating irregular migration and organized crime, and the effective implementation of the EU Entry-Exit System (EES) were discussed.
Minister Mucunski also raised the practical challenges faced by professional drivers and the transport sector at European borders, stating, "We emphasized the importance of finding timely and feasible solutions through constructive dialogue with the European Commission and Member States."
