Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei met with experienced diplomats Ali Ahani and Hamid Reza Asifi at a meeting hosted by Director General for Western Europe Ali Reza Yusufi.

Baqaei said he exchanged views with Ali Ahani, who previously served as Deputy for Europe and the Americas and as ambassador to Paris for three terms, and Hamid Reza Asifi, a former Foreign Ministry spokesperson and Iran’s ambassador to France.

The meeting addressed ways to increase the dynamism and effectiveness of Iranian diplomacy in today’s challenging and rapidly changing international environment. Baqaei highlighted the importance of drawing on the knowledge, experience and accumulated expertise gained over the years in the field of foreign policy.
