United States (US) President Donald Trump announced that all mines in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz had been removed by the US Navy or neutralized through controlled explosions.

In a post, Trump said he had received this information from the US Navy and warned that if Iran lays new mines, every ship or boat involved in placing them would be immediately and systematically destroyed.

Trump also said the US is monitoring every point of the Strait of Hormuz through the Space Force. The US President stated that the same surveillance activity is also being carried out for “Pickaxe Mountain” and three nuclear facilities that he previously said had been destroyed.

Trump emphasized that a “zero tolerance” policy against mine-laying in the Strait of Hormuz is fully in effect.
