Nobel Prize-winning author Mario Vargas Llosa has died
Madrid, April 14 (Hibya) – Peruvian author and Nobel Prize in Literature laureate Mario Vargas Llosa has passed away at the age of 89. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez issued a message of condolence.
Prime Minister Sanchez said that Spanish literature is bidding farewell to Mario Vargas Llosa, the universal master of words.
As a reader, he expressed his gratitude for a tremendous body of work containing so many key books to understand the times, and added: “On behalf of the Government of Spain, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the global community of readers.”
