Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem held in Amman.

According to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides expressed satisfaction with the recent positive momentum in bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in political, defense, economic, educational, cultural and people-to-people fields.

The meeting also covered regional developments. The two ministers exchanged views on the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in the Occupied West Bank and discussed the Palestinian issue.

Dar commended Jordan's role in safeguarding the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and its continued support for the Palestinian people.

The two sides also reviewed the latest developments between Iran and the United States, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in reducing regional tensions.

They agreed to maintain close coordination in bilateral and multilateral forums, particularly within the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to promote regional peace and stability.
