Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting to review preparations for the 14th South Asian Games, which Pakistan will host in March 2027.

According to a statement from Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar instructed officials to work on issues including financing for the Games, infrastructure development and improvement, athletes' training and preparation, and logistical arrangements. The importance of timely planning and close coordination among all stakeholders was also emphasized to ensure that preparations for the Games are carried out to the highest standards.

Dar stated that the 14th South Asian Games would provide Pakistan with an opportunity to showcase its sporting talent, hospitality and organizational capabilities, while also conveying a message of peace, friendship, goodwill and harmony to the world.
