Pakistan emphasizes developing relations with Iran
Islamabad, May 19 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, who will be appointed as ambassador to Iran, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar before departing for Tehran.
In the ministry’s statement, it was noted that during Imran Ahmed Siddiqui’s meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar before his departure to Tehran, bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran as well as regional cooperation were discussed. The statement also said that Pakistan reiterated its commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade, connectivity, and people-to-people relations.
