Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar attended the meeting titled “High-Level International Meeting on the Two-State Solution: The Way Forward – One Year After the New York Declaration and the Comprehensive 20-Point Peace Plan” in New York.

According to a statement from Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, while the opening remarks were delivered by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, European Council President Antonio Costa, Peace Council High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov, Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also attended the meeting.

Dar emphasized the urgency of ending the suffering in Gaza and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid. Dar also said that an irreversible political process should be advanced toward the establishment of an independent, sovereign and territorially contiguous Palestinian State based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
